A programme of events will be taking place in the theatre!
In the morning, we will be hosting the following 2 musicians:
10.45am Telynore, fully acousitc harps.
11.15am Stray Cats, a mother and daughter duo/ukulele players and singers.
This entertainment will take place in the foyer/bar area. Our bar will be open for refreshments.
In the afternoon, we are delighted to be welcoming Callington Community College students who will be performing items from their upcoming production of ‘Matilda’ (two performances at 2pm and 3pm) along with the College Choir bringing us some additional content.

‘Playing Gooseberry’ by Kathryn West
A tale of love, friendship, obsession and gardening.
Vernon wants to grow the world’s biggest gooseberry. Seven years ago, his one-time best friend Barry poisoned his gooseberry bushes on the eve of competition. Or did he? This time, Vernon is determined to win at all costs, but his obsession is such that he fails to notice his wife Daphne’s growing dissatisfaction. With this year’s competition only days away, will Vernon choose his gooseberries or his marriage? And has he left it too late? First performed in October 2022 by At2K Theatre, Taunton.

Agony Aunt Tilly, with a wealth of problem-solving advice, embarks on running evening classes at a local primary school – “Sex for the Over 60’s” Only four ladies turn up, each with their own expectations and agendas. What does an Eco-warrior, a classic car widow, a cake baker extraordinaire and a Cougar have in common? Little do they realise that deep down, they are all looking for love. Despite their initial unfulfilled expectations, will they get satisfaction in the end?
A comedy for 5 mature ladies.

Announcing the Launch of YOUNG PLAYERS
at Prim-Raf Theatre!
We are excited to announce our Performance in a Fortnight Workshop, launching the Young Players at Prim-Raf Theatre. The participants of the workshop will not only be our inaugural group, but will be the first to perform as the newly formed Young Players!
You will have an opportunity to work with a trained Drama and English teacher, to create a performance from scratch, using script and improvisation techniques. Sessions are aimed for the specific age range of 13 – 18 and all experience levels are welcome! We will incorporate techniques to help participants in their exam preparations, enhance their performance and vocal abilities, whilst developing essential life skills such as confidence, creativity, empathy, communication and teamwork!
Workshop Dates: July 6th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 13th, 16th, 17th & 18th (see poster).
During the workshops, participants will explore individual pieces and group work covering different aspects of the performance. We are an inclusive group and everyone will get a chance to participate in all the planned activities.
The work we do will culminate in a performance before a live audience!
Going forward, we have ambitious plans for the group, from performing full-length plays/pantomimes, to trips to other theatres to see performances. Join us on our exciting journey!
